Lessons

The lesson on July 2, 2023 was part 11 of “The Remnant” study. Wayne opened up with comments on July 4, Independence Day celebration and the Hymn “America, the Beautiful” and one of the lyrics in that song.  He then continued with the focus on the Redemption and Atonement we have with the sacrifice of Christ.  We have to rightly divide the sacrifices in scripture.  Wayne defended the translation of Atonement in the New Testament.  He did a brief review of the bifurcation of redemption (exodus) and atonement (eisodus) and showed how atonement was properly used by looking at Romans 5:11; 11:15; 2 Corinthians 5:18,19.  We even looked at references in history during the same time as the translators of the KJV Bible showing evidence that they were correct in translating the Greek word used as atonement instead of reconciliation.  This lesson was an excellent lesson on the proper way to deal with sin.

The scripture reading was from Psalms 32:1-2 KJV “1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.”
