Lessons

The lesson on June 25, 2023 was part 10 of “The Remnant” study. In this weeks lesson, Wayne focuses on the One sacrifice, Rightly Divided (Rom.6:10, Heb. 10:12 KJV).  There are two aspects of this bifurcation of the One sacrifice – that involves Redemption and Atonement.  Redemption means ‘deliverance from’ and Atonement means ‘Access to’.  We looked at Heb. 10:19 for entering in and Luke 9:31 KJV for going out. We also looked at Eph. 1:7 and Col. 1:14 KJV showing Redemption (exodus) in our calling.  Atonement is shown in Eph. 2:13 KJV where we are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Wayne took time to teach the proper interpretation of Eph. 2:8 and showed as a Greek diagram showing how the Greek makes it clear that we are not given the faith for our salvation. In closing,  Wayne reviewed the reconciliation καταλλάσσω (of ACTS), and reconciliation ἀποκαταλλάσσω PAul tells us (from Prison).

The scripture reading was from Hebrews 10:18-22 KJV “18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
