Miracles in the Post Acts period are not in affect because that ended due to the final judgement against Israel when they became "Lo-Ammi" to God, which means "not my people". The reason for signs, healings and tongues ended because the Apostle Paul revealed a new calling in Ephesians and this hope was apart from Israel's hope and blessings. In Ephesians 4:11 KJV Paul tells us in this new calling "11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;". This list does not include anyone with Apostolic authority that they may heal someone, speak in tongues or survive a poisonous snake bite. Compare this to Mark 16:15-20 KJV when the risen Lord said to his disciples: "15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.". This was the formula for the previous administration when the Jew was first. Now the Gentile and Jew are one new man. This topic is worthy of study to see how things changed when crossing the Acts 28 boundary.
