The lesson taught on February 4, 2024 was part 19 of the “Wisdom” study.  The focus was on Proverbs 18 where it covers the personal virtues in social life.  We opened by reading Prov. 18:1 KJV and Wayne compared that to a spider.  He then proceeded through the rest of the chapter taking time to share how he learned how to respect deep waters.  We took the time to read 2 Cor. 12:9 to see how Paul reflected on Proverbs 18:14-21 KJV. The lesson ended by commenting on Prov. 18:22 KJV “22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.”

The scripture reading was from Proverbs 18:1-4 KJV “1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom. 2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. 3 When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach. 4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.”
