The lesson on January 29, 2017 was part 4 of “The U, V and W of Right Division”.  This week Wayne moved into looking at the mysteries found in scripture.  In studying the Greek word “mystērion” there 27 passages in the scriptures that use this word.  Wayne intends to look at all twenty seven passages but only covers two in this lesson.  Before we looked at these mysteries, he took time to study the eytmology of the word and how it includes the idea of initiation and having closed eyes which is from the Greek word “Muw”.  There are some words today that still come from it like “murmur, muttle and mumble”.  Then we learned of its use before Christianity by looking briefly at The Eleusian Mysteries. The first mystery studied was in Matthew 13.  That one was easy to understand.  The second was from Romans 16:25-27 which was a difficult one to get the accurate meaning (proving that it not the same found in Ephesians 3 and Colossians 1).  The scripture reading was from Romans 16:25-27 KJV

“25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.”
