The lesson on November 22, 2015 was part 6 of the “Man, His Nature and Destiny” study.  As usual, a review of what was previously covered in the previous lessons in that there was irony used when the Lord used the analogy of the Rich Man and Lazaraus and used the pharisees doctrine against them to debunk their behavior as the spiritual leaders of Israel.  We have learned so far that Man is a soul (Gen.2:7), and the soul dies (Ezek. 18:4,20).  Man has a spirit and at death it returns back to God who gave it. (Eccl. 12:7). In death there is no consciousness – the dead know not anything. (Eccl. 9:5). The intermediate state is NOT represented by Lazarus and the rich man (Lk 16:19-31). Resurrection is the means of experiencing LIFE (1Cor.15:53).  This lesson in the end poses some more questions that we need to explore which will require us to take a break and spend time in Revelation so we can learn of the judgements that are dispensed from the books at the Great White Throne judgement.  The scripture reading was from Revelation 20:12-15 KJV

“12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
