The lesson on August 24, 2014 was part 2 of “Ye See Your Calling” lesson.  This continues from part 1 looking at the calling PAul the prisoner revealed to the Gentiles after Acts 28 and how it is a calling you have to believe after you become saved.  First you must believe on Christ as your Lord and Savior to have you sins forgiven and receive eternal life.  Secondly, you must believe the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ and see your calling in the mystery, as PAul calls it in Ephesians 3:9 and Colossians 1:25,26.  That is why PAul says in 2 Timothy 1:8-11 KJV 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.”  The scripture reading was in Matthew 21:42, 43 KJV

“42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”
