Has God Abandoned America? – Part 3. God Abandoned America?This is the 3rd lesson that answers the question: Has God abandoned America? It was given on November 19th and looks at the scripture reading of Acts 20-28-31 which covers the topic of grievous wolves and those entering in who speak of perverse things to try and draw disciples away from the truth. 98% of the people in this nation live above the poverty level of the world… yet people think they have done this themselves. Nations are established by God and in the book of Job, we learned that God also establishes people and in both situations, God puts a hedge around them. Nebuchadnezzar had learned this and declared in Daniel 4:34-35 “And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?” In Dueteronomy 8:10-20, we see a warning unto the nation of Israel to not forget the Lord who has blessed you, for if you forget and think you have received your blessing of your own doing, you shall surely perish. The lesson continues to look at the problem in America in how the country has forgotten God, even fight to have God removed from our country… and that is not a good way to behave towards God who had put a hedge around the United States
