Lessons

The lesson on March 22, 2020 was part 48 of the “Genesis” study.  The focus this week was again to clarify the separate calling with Israel and those of us in this age of “the Mystery”.  In looking at the divisions of the Old Testament and New Testament is already an improper division.  In fact the Old Testament continues through the Gospels until the death of Jesus Christ.  Remember the Old and New Covenant was given to Israel.  Jeremiah 31:31 and Hebrews 8:8 confirm that.  The longsuffering of God was seen in the Days of Noe as well as the Acts period because God was waiting for Israel to repent.  They did not so He revealed a sacred secret to the Apostle PAul the prisoner called “The Mystery”.  We learned that there were several mysteries in the Acts period that we revealed by inspired Apostles which Paul certainly was.  Peter refers to the hidden wisdom that Paul was given and teaches. This was not The Mystery but other mysteries.   We must identify the two ministries that Paul had!  One to the Jew first and Gentile second but all this was part of prophecy and hidden in scripture.  The second of PAul the prisoner where God revealed it to him to be presented to us after Acts 28 and this was hidden in God.  You can’t find it anywhere in scripture like the other mysteries that Paul revealed during the Acts period.   The scripture reading was from Hebrews 8:5-11 KJV

“5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. 6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.”
