From The Beginning

Derek McCammonThis series starts with Psalms 104, 105, and 106 which covers the creation that God has made.  This series will look at the magnificence of God that is demonstrated in His creation.  In looking at creation, this study will take us through the Old Testement and cover the history of Israel.  Israel was God's chosen people and it started with Abraham and every piece of history centers around the Jews.  It wasn't until the Apostle Paul who in Ephesians was given a specific ministry to the Gentiles that salvation was authorized through the Gentile.  Prior to that, the history in the Old Testament from the beginning covers the path of Israel.  Be sure and listen to all of the lessons.

God Has Not Given Us the Spirit of Fear

Derek McCammonThe study series was started on January 17, 2010 by Derek McCammon on 2 Timothy 1:1-7 KJV "1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; 4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; 5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Romans Study

Derek McCammonMany books have been written about Romans because of its importance. In the canon, Romans follows the Gospels and the Acts because it is so important that has so many great themes in it. Romans talks about the wrath of God, the Gospel of God, it talks bout Sin and Sins, and takes us back to the covenant with Abraham at Sinai, then to back to Adam. When it takes us back to Adam, it brings us forth to the one man who destroyed sin. It talks about great dispensational distinctions between Jews and Gentiles. We learn that the Jew had the advantage because they were given to oracles of God while the gentile had nothing. Then we find that Romans talks about grace in a grand way.

Has God Abandoned America?

Derek McCammonThis audio series studies this question and looks at the scriptures to determine how God sets up Nations and what has to happen when God abandons Nations. One Nation established by God is the Nation of Israel and we learn much about this question from them. In Deuteronomy 8:11-20, we read of a warning given to the nation of Israel regarding their mindset towards the Lord when things are good. If they forget that the blessing they received were from God, they will be turned away by God. As stated in Deut. 8:17, 19 “And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.” The final statement from God is in verse 20 “As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.” Be sure and review all of the lessons available on this topic.

Walk in the Lord

Derek McCammonThis series studies the responsibilities of a Christian walk and ends with the rewards that are promised for the proper walk. The series started with five interrogatories of the Christian which asked these questions: What are you doing, How are you doing, Why you are doing what you are doing, Where do I go, and When should I do what I am doing? These questions led up the the last five lessons on your Walk in the Lord. As Paul said in Colossians 3:23-24 (KJV) “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” Paul indicated he would receive his reward in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV) “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

The Warfare

Derek McCammonThis series studies the Spiritual Warfare that we battle as Christians that is discussed in Ephesians 6:10:17. Paul was warning the church at Ephesus to be cognizant of the warfare that is taking place with the devil... as he said in Eph. 6:10-12 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” In this series we will go back to the beginning with the fall of Lucifer who became Satan who started the spiritual warfare that we are a part of... whether we know it or not, and look at the warfare that has taken place throughout the ages.

Colossians Study

Derek McCammonThis is a new series that covers the book of Colossians. This is an important book because it is a prison epistle that is written to us. All scripture is for our learning but all scripture is not written to you. We don’t obey the scribes and Pharisees that sit in Moses’ seat… these instructions were to Jesus’ disciples at that time in scripture. Paul is an apostle to the Gentiles. He didn’t start out this way… when he was called on the road to Damascus; the first place he went to go and tell of Christ was in the Synagogue to the Jews. Paul changed during the Acts period from going to the Synagogue and the Jews to going to the Gentiles. We see in Galatians that Paul’s ministry becomes one that was unto the uncircumcision.
