Lessons

The lesson on May 28, 2017 was part 18 of “The U, V and W of Right Division”.  Wayne reviewed what was covered from the last lesson where we learned about a change and what is involved.  The analogy was used of the American Independence from the King of England.  A disruption occurs and then pursuit of the new order.  This pursuit of perfection involves a readjustment and then your faithful following of the new economy which surely follows education.  Today’s lesson looked at Ephesians 4:12 KJV “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”.  The Greed word “καταρτισμός,” in this passage is a noun that is used for perfection is the only time that it is used in the bible!  We can learn more about that this means from the verb Greek word “Katarti” and Wayne takes us to several places where this word occurs and we see in the context of how this is used to mend what was broken.  The scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 KJV

“8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
