The lesson on January 20, 2019 was the introduction to this study of Genesis.  Wayne took this lesson to explain how there are many issues that are answered in Genesis and there is a relation to our calling in Ephesians.  In Genesis 1:1 we learn of the foundation of the world or καταβολῆς κόσμου in Hebrew.  When comparing Matthew 13:35 KJV “35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.” to Ephesians 1:4 KJV “4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” we see a line drawn using the foundation as a before and after point in time.  This lesson also points out the questions we need to answer in this series.  The scripture reading was from Genesis 1:1-5 KJV

“1 In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
