Lessons

The lesson on July 14, 2013 was part 13 of the “Galatians” study and started strong in chapter 4.  This chapter is where we learn of Jesus Christ special relationship to mankind in the role of the kinsman redeemer.  This comes with understanding how the Gentiles in Galatians were adopted sons to Abraham’s hope and blessing by being adopted through the message of Paul’s gospel and ties in with the discussion of baptism.  The lesson further explored this by reviewing the story of Ruth.  We also learn of our special adoption in the post Acts period and the unique hope and calling we have in Christ from Ephesians.  The explanation of how Gods eternal purpose is to use the church, which is the body of Christ, as a showcase to demonstrate his wisdom for the principalities and powers in the heavenly places…  Wow!  The scripture reading was from Ephesians 3:9-12 KJV “9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.”
