Lessons

The lesson on March 13, 2011 continued the study From the Beginning with part 28 of the series.  The scripture reading was in John 21:25 KJV “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” What is your way of communicating the gospel?  What is your way of approaching right division?  How do you rightly divide the scriptures in your presentation to other people? How do you present the responsilbility that God has given you?  Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:17-18 KJV “17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”.  In the Mystery, the two points we would make is that we have a fuller understanding of who Christ is, and you have a responsibility to teach others!  Think of all the things that Jesus did when he was here on the Earth.  Some of which was his birth, death, and resurrection… but John said that there were so many things that were not recorded in scripture!  The lesson covered the 40 days of lint which was traditionally started because of Matthew 4:1-2.  What’s better about the passage in Matthew 4 is the testing of the Lord Jesus Christ where we learn that Jesus was tempted but did not commit sin.  He could say “been there, didn’t do that”, whereas we should say “been there, done that”.  The lesson finishes with a review of three of the tempations that the Lord overcame.  To know the will of God is the greatest treasure a man receive but to do the works of God is the greatest pleasure!
