The lesson on April 13, 2014 was part 23 of the “Ephesians” study.  A review was provided of last weeks lesson but a new methodology was presented on how to analyze if a change has occured.  Wayne is a Dr. in Mathematics and teaches statistics at the University of Oklahoma and he is able to apply statistical analysis to the question “Has a change occurred?”.  He teaches how those who believe there are no differences, this group is referred to the Null hypotheses.  It is the skeptics position.  The other group is referred to as the Alternate group.  This is the researchers hunch.  Wayne shows how they are displayed graphically but most importantly explains how to prove the skeptics wrong from a position of power where the major differences are proved out.  The lesson also covers three objectives: 1) Walk – A.Eph. 1:1,2 Lowliness of mind; B.Eph. 4:17 No longer in vanity of mind. 2) Eph. 4:20 There is a manner or way in which we should learn Christ. “so”; and 3) New man – A. Eph. 2:15 created (Jews and Gentiles); and B.Eph. 4:24 created (put it on). The scripture reading was in Ephesians 4: 17-24 KJV “17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
