The message on December 18th, 2022 was on Luke 2 and Wayne took time out to provide a Christmas message for us to enjoy. The structure of Luke shows Jesus Christ as “The Man” (Zech. 6:12). Luke starts out by commenting to Theophilus that he has a perfect understanding of all things from the very first to write the things that happened in order.  Wayne teaches us of the miracle of the virgin birth and the angel telling them to call Him Jesus in Luke 2:21.  In Matt. 1:21 it was said that she shall bring forth a son, and call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. In John 3:16,17 KJV, we find that Jesus did not come to Israel only but rather to everyone so that believing on Him, you would have eternal life.  To receive Joy in the face of little understanding that would challenge you to believe and then get eternal life through resurrection (Luke 1:14, 44; 2:10; 6:23; 8:13; 10:17; 15:7, 10; 24:41, 52)

The scripture reading was from Luke 2:25-33 KJV “25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: 30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. 33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.”
