The lesson on June 17, 2018 was part 11 of the “Acts 29” study.  This week Wayne continued to look at Old Testament scriptures to provide clarity around when Israel was considered Lo-Ammi before.  We learned how the Lo-Ammi condition was not sudden but occurred over time through a progression of events or judgements. By studying the scriptures this way it allows us to project how the judgement was delivered in Acts 28.  We can see how the initial schematic Wayne had created around the fallout of Acts 28 on Israel is being revised after looking more closely at the events that are described all the way to Acts 28:31.   It is interesting to see how at the beginning of Acts in verse 3 it talks about preaching the “Kingdom of God” just like it does in Acts 28:31.  Wayne ends the lesson with a personal challenge to him that he may learn Hebrew to better understand the Old Testament passages so he my better reflect how it will provide clarity with the Acts 29 study, meaning the time from Paul’s first imprisonment in Acts 28 to his last imprisonment where he is beheaded.  Between these to imprisonments Paul was given The Mystery and revealed it in Ephesians.  The scripture reading was from Luke 24:21-27 KJV

“21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. 22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive. 24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not. 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.”
