Four Days in Scripture

Derek McCammonThis study looks at the four days in scripture that involves prophecy and judgment.  The current day that we are in is called Man's Day and it is a period governed by grace.  The next three days to come are the Day of Christ, Day of the Lord, and the Day of God.  It's important to understand these days and who they involve and why there is judgement involved.  This study will help you learn about these days using the principles of Right Division.  There is a chart on these days in the Chart Room that should help you learn about each day.

Remembrance

Derek McCammonThis study on Remembrance is inspired by Paul's last letter 2 Timothy, which was written shortly before going to the guillotine.  This makes the message important to us even today. Paul puts Timothy in remembrance of those he is serving and reminds him that Paul also keeps him and the other believers in remembrance always. Life has many choices, but eternity has only two.

Christmas The Philippian Way

Derek McCammonThis study given in December 2011 looks at the Christmas Story from a Philippian perspective.  This story has been looked at from many perspectives, but this study looks at the birth of Christ from a perspective of those Christians in Philippians who were instructed by the Apostle Paul. This study also reviews the Real Christmas Story, by Clifford McLain.

Before the Beginning

Derek McCammonThis study followed the "From the Beginning" study and began to look at the word "foundation".  This study explains that the context of this word is different from the foundation spoken of in 1 Corinthians 3:11 KJV "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."  This foundation in this verse is the Greek word "themelios"  The foundation identified in this study is found in Ephesians 1:4 KJV "4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:".  The word "foundation" in this verse is "katabole" and is the context for this study.  It looks at the beginning of time in Genesis 1:1 and teaches what went on "Before the Beginning" of time.  You will want to take note what this study reveals for the Christian today.

From The Beginning

Derek McCammonThis series starts with Psalms 104, 105, and 106 which covers the creation that God has made.  This series will look at the magnificence of God that is demonstrated in His creation.  In looking at creation, this study will take us through the Old Testement and cover the history of Israel.  Israel was God's chosen people and it started with Abraham and every piece of history centers around the Jews.  It wasn't until the Apostle Paul who in Ephesians was given a specific ministry to the Gentiles that salvation was authorized through the Gentile.  Prior to that, the history in the Old Testament from the beginning covers the path of Israel.  Be sure and listen to all of the lessons.

God Has Not Given Us the Spirit of Fear

Derek McCammonThe study series was started on January 17, 2010 by Derek McCammon on 2 Timothy 1:1-7 KJV "1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; 4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; 5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
