The Seed of the Woman

Clifford McLainThe curse and the promise of a savior (Genesis 3:14-24) shows that the message is clear in that Adam and Eve could not stand (consist) apart from Christ. “So He (God) drove out the man” (Genesis 3:14-24). The promise of the savior through the seed of the woman begins a unique battle that will be waged by Satan to destroy the savior. It begins with Cain who slew Able (Genesis 4:1-12). From there, God brought forth the next righteous line through Seth. Satan then tried to contaminate mankind with Angelic cohabitation with humans thereby tainting all of mankind except for Noah and his family. Consequently, God brought forth the flood and saved the only family left that Satan had not corrupted. After the flood, the battle continues all the way until Christ was born and grew to fulfill His ministry. The seed of the woman promised to Eve did provide the savior but it wasn’t until 4000 years later that this prophecy was fulfilled.

Death-Heaven-Hell

Clifford McLainThese lessons were taught by Dr. McLain on various occasions during his ministry. We all wonder about what happens when we die.  Some people believe in soul sleep, others have a vague impression of what heaven is like, others reject hell as a real place, however, we as Mystery believers have a much more wonderful prospect... we shall be made manifest with Him in glory. This study teaches what happens upon physical death so we may take comfort in what happes next.

Coming of Elijah Seminar

Clifford McLainThis seminar covers the very last prophecy given to Israel in the Old Testament--a significant fact in itself. Christians today are looking for the so-called "rapture" and the return of the Lord, and for us to "meet Him in the air."   In this step-by-step study, we discover that not only is this not possible today, it doesn't even affect Christians. This is a promise to those Jews in Jerusalem at the time of the awful destruction, and gathers His people to safety before the terrible holocaust. This seminar is a wonderful journey through the scriptures starting with the very beginning prophecy to the very end--rightly dividing the Word to better understand the calling of Christians today and our own "great hope." The prominent scripture is found in Malachi 4:5-6 KJV: "5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

Written and Incarnate Word

Clifford McLainThis study was given by Dr. McLain in his Friday Night Bible Study sometime in 1971--the exact date is unknown. This study involves some Bible aerobics so it's advisable to keep your Bible open and ready. He gives scriptural proof that Christ Jesus is both the written and incarnate Word with proof texts from both the old and new testaments. Although the tapes are very old and the recordings are not the finest, the voice is very clear and the message very audible.

About Clifford McLain

Clifford E. “Mac” McLain was born October 21, 1909 in Blanchard, Oklahoma where he attended high school. In 1949 he received a Bachelor of Theology degree from Atlanta Bible Institute, Georgia (now Atlanta Southern, associated with Trinity Schools of the South), and later was granted a degree of Doctor of Divinity from Trinity Bible Seminary in Atlanta. He was a World War II veteran of two years’ service with the U.S. Armed Forces in the European Theater, where he met his future wife, Peggy, an Army nurse lieutenant, while they were in the Medical Corps. They later adopted a fine son, David. Dr. McLain was a member of American Legion Post 145.Dr. McLain founded Grace Institute of the Bible in Oklahoma City, serving as its director for several years and teacher for 5 years. He co-founded with Ben McCammon the Northside Bible Church in 1966. He hosted a successful, live radio program, “What’s the Question,” on KQCV for several years. Until the last few years of his life, he conducted frequent Bible seminars at Big Spring Federal Prison, Texas, and maintained contact with many of the men who had been influenced to turn to the Christian life through his teachings. He was probably best known for his various Bible studies throughout the Oklahoma City area, Publications Written by Clifford McLain occasionally, other cities in Oklahoma as requested.Authoring several books, numerous study papers, charts and sermon and study cassette tapes, Dr. McLain’s principal emphasis was on the calling of Ephesians 3:9: “To make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery.” Consequently, his works focused on the Apostle Paul’s epistles written after Acts 28:28 -- the “Mystery” letters. From his teaching, a multitude of Christians have more correctly understood those letters (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, I & II Timothy, Titus and Philemon) concerning Apostle Paul’s ministry and our present dispensational calling and hope. His life verse was I Timothy 4:16: “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”Dr. McLain went to be with the Lord on March 4, 1990 in Oklahoma City, and his legacy is eternal.
