Joe Russell

Joseph F. “Joe” Russell, Jr., was born in Dixie, Oklahoma on August 5th, 1925 and went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2004. Joe lived in the Oklahoma City area working in the insurance industry, starting his own business as an independent insurance broker in 1972, and worked until his death. Joe touched many lives with his optimism, his ready smile and genuine interest in the lives of those around him. He developed a special bond with his clients that made them far more than business acquaintances.

Joe’s greatest treasure was his personal relationship with Christ Jesus. He loved sharing the word of God with others, and spent his life teaching and attending Bible studies across the City. Joe was a member of Northside Bible Church and served as Elder, Treasurer, and Sunday School teacher. Joe was also an integral part of the LOOPS ministry with his dear friends Leland and Linda Maples.
