The lesson on December 19, 2010 was on the Christmas Story. The scripture reading was in Luke 2:1-7 KJV "And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." The world loves Christmas but doesn't love the Christ of Christmas. Listen to hear the story of how God put it off, put it on, and paid it all through the birth of Christ.

The lesson on December 5, 2010 continued the study From the Beginning with part 21. The scripture reading was in Genesis 3:8-19 KJV "8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked?
The lesson on November 28, 2010 continued the study From the Beginning with part 20. The scripture reading was in Isaiah 9:1-7 KJV "1 Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. 2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
The lesson on December 20, 2009 is the final lesson of the Characters of Christmas study and this lesson is entitled "The End of the Beginning".
