Leland Maples runs the LOOP's Ministries (Loved Ones Of Prisoners) and leads a Thursday night bible study held in the Rec Room at Life Change Baptist Church in Odessa Texas.  The Rec Room message on Thursday, April 28, 2011 was entitled "To Change or Not to Change" and was given by Leland.

The lesson on April 24, 2011 was on the resurrected Christ to celebrate the Easter holiday.  The scripture reading was in 1 Corinthians 15:12-20 "12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

The lesson on April 17, 2011 started the celebration of the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The scripture reading was in Galatians 1:3-5 KJV "3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

The lesson on April 10, 2011 was the 31st lesson in the "From the Beginning" study and started with the scripture Matthew 16:21-23 KJV "21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

The lesson on April 3, 2011 was continuing the study "From the Beginning" with part 30.  The scripture reading for this lesson was in John 7:28-36 KJV "28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. 29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me. 30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.

On Sunday April 25, 2010 Valerie Sherrer, Development Director and Founder, gave a report of Novo Ministries.

Novo Ministries was birthed to introduce inner-city children to positive teaching and connect them with individuals who would mentor and love them.
